He was Mayor of Leeds in 1735 & and again in 1752 He & his wife lived at Red Hall, in King Charles Croft, Headrow, Leeds. It was reputed to be the first house in Leeds to be built of brick. Now demolished. There is an Inscriptions in St Peters Leeds Parish Church to Thomas & his wife Elizabeth.
